Regcure Download

Download trial for Regcure. Regcure in itself is easy to install, runs on most operating systems, and is virus and spyware free. Don’t get caught out with the few sites that give you a link to download Regcure but in fact don’t give you the original version made by Regcure developers. You need to be careful that it doesn’t include extra spyware and malware components or it may be simply a virus loader renamed to look like a Regcure install. This doesn’t happen very often but you never can be too careful about what you are downloading.

Some things to look out for are:

Small install files – If you see an install which is less than 50 or even 100K (Kilobytes) in size you should question whether you are actually downloading Regcure or in fact a virus or pre-install software. Some applications will use a pre-install software to verify your system has the required hardware or software components before it downloads the actual software. Most times you don’t need to worry about this but if you start seeing DOS prompt screens appear and then dissappear quickly then watch out. Most legitimate pre-install applications will show you some sort of graphical interface with a progress bar.

Very Large install files – For this type of software you can expect the install file to be anywhere from 2MB to 25MB. Unless it’s a game or large suite of applications you are installing then the install file shouldn’t be too big. If you see that the install file size is bigger than you expected than you should question whether you are actually downloading the file you wanted to download. The only exception to this is if the software includes video demos or movies. These files are very bulky where as program code can easily be compressed.

Strange file extensions – File extensions are the letters which come after the .dot in the filename. Generally there are three letters, sometimes four. Typically install files wil have a .exe extension which is short for executable. This is a native windows extension.

Often times you will need to download a .zip file (compressed file) which will contain the .exe install file. This is not typical for smaller applications as commonly everything is included in the .exe package but sometimes a zip file is easier to distribute when developers need to include extra files for the install process. This is also somewhat safer for you as you can inspect the contents of the zip file before extracting and running the install application.

There’s also the .msi file extension. This is a Microsoft installer package file. Often times it is used by developers when there are multiple steps and verification procedures to the install. Usually they are used for installing larger applications which may need the .NET framework or other dependencies installed before the main application can be installed.

Those are the three main file extensions for installers. If you come across a different file extension then it may not be the installer you are downloading. Most other extensions will require a certain piece of software installed on your machine to run.

Now that you know a few things to look out for when downloading Regcure you shouldn’t have a problem. Regcure is a great piece of software and highly recommended by pc users around the world. Downloading Regcure shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes on a cable or dsl connection. Make sure you download the latest release version of Regcure to receive the latest improvements and updates to the software.
