Is there any possible way you can get a tutorial for the Mac? I’ve been trying to download things and it’s average speed it 67.5kb/s. Right now the speed is 9.4 kb/s. I downloaded something the other day in 4 hours. It wasn’t as big as the file now but it also downloaded at about 150kb/s. Please respond.

Been using RoboForm for years and love it, now with the RoboForm Everywhere license I am able to use it on all of my computers as well as my iPad and Droid phone. Very easy to use and they have great phone support.

If I have already split the partition in 2 (1st for system and 2nd for data) and now I need to increase the 1st partition decreasing the 2nd partition. How can I do it? Would it be possible or should I install another partition management software?

Hi Mike. My name’s Glennie May and I live in Perth, Western Australia. I’m no quite sure how it came about that I got to be on your global mailing list of internet and computer tips, but I’m very glad it happened. Because your emails, both the ones providing tips, and the ones containing links to, say YouTube etc., have been fabulous and very helpful. I myself am an agent for a local ISP (well, at one stage “local” but these guys, “Westnet” and a company called “iinet” have merged). I haven’t been selling many new connections lately though, as I also have a callout computer repair service and 2 children, so I have not had enough time to get new Westnet customer. Actually, I find now, that with all the cheap bundled phone/internet plans advertised on most Australian media, and the advent of the company “Dodo”, (who offer unbelievable speeds and D/load limits for a rediculously low price), a lot of people who call me from my advert in the local paper, are not willing to move to Westnet. Anyway, I wanted to thank you for your emails and links, and if you don’t mind a little “constructive criticism” Mike, may I point out a tiny, but possibly significant, issue seemingly mising from your video instruction and the PDF, (apart from the obvious presence of the ticked option, but not mentioned in either of your formats as I said)…that may affect people who follow your video instruction posts closely and whom are not that computer literate. It’s to do with your most recent email and link to ,,,”How to increase uTorrent download speed – Advanced”. These are very basic tips. I was looking more for the advanced preference modification. Changing some of the advanced settings according to the specifications made by the video in the url below increased my download speed tenfold! This may be a unique case but it is worth trying out this video. If the setting do not work them just find the advanced settings you changed (they will have an asterisk next to them) and reset the default value.

I agree, you should seed the content you are downloading. That’s only fair, but sometimes you can end up seeding way more than you are downloading and it ends up chewing up your bandwidth. This can slow down your transfer speed, not to mention a lot of ISP’s charge you for uploads as well as downloads, so if you are not careful you can easily reach your monthly limit without realizing it.

This little tip can help you maximize your available download bandwidth while still seeding to others.

I worked several years as a programmer, and had often to install/uninstall programs (mostly programming languages and builder-software) – so I was often confronted with lack of computer performance because of “messed up” registries. Cleaning your computers registry is really important, and I highly agree to the advice being careful which program you take. Be sure to use a registry cleaning program that is certified against windows!
